Where do the skin lesions and fibers come from?
Here. I certainly don't believe that they are really working on anything with the little progress that I have seen over the years.
But this is what the Morgellons Foundation had to say...
So far, we have no idea whether Morgellons skin lesions and related material such as colored fibers are (1) biological agents, (2) produced by such agents, (3) are products of the body’s attempt to rid itself of pathogens, or (4) an aberrant body system unrelated to any agent. Serious efforts are finally now underway to characterize the dermal-related material that should solve part of the puzzle.
To date, various clinicians have seen,and occasionally identified, certain common dermato-pathogens OR organisms not found on humans but on animals or on inert material. This suggests the possibility that the skin immunity of Morgellons is seriously deficient, allowing numerous animal or plant parasites to live on human skin. Experience and information from registrants leads us to believe the skin phenomena of Morgellons is not specifically dangerous, although possibly frightening and uncomfortable. The same information sources lead us to observe that treatment addressing the more global symptom set also resolves the skin symptoms and signs. The treatment presently most successful is antibiotics addressing one or more candidate infectious bacteria or protozoa.

Dear Rene,
I heard that the fibers are silicone used by agrobusiness to coat and protest their organisms..and that they have known all along that this can infect and infest humans..they are stalling because they don't want to take reponsibility and don't know how to cure it.
What a travesty.
We need to be more vocal..this has been accelerating the last 10 years coincidentally with agribusiness GMO development.
They are pretty safe though because the people who have this are very debilitated..not likely to kick up a fuss.
Nothing happened re ovarian cancer until the late 90's when some women started surviving long enough..3-4 years vs 1-2 to rabble rouse..to point out all the research $'s going to breast cancer was not good enough.
Just an example..we are dealing with a system which responds to the squeeky wheel.

So I agree.."we have no idea" .. now needs to shift to ..."we are going to find out".
It is not an "annoying skin disease" but a blood born pathogen or group of them capable of penetrating every cell of the body.
The most obvious and prevalent "symptom" is the skin lesions, bites.etc.
"Characterization"..means description of qualities.. I believe..so there already is lots of research without too much effort form rense.com etc of magnified red bood cells being attacked outsice the cell, and within the cell, by "clamydia like" organizms.( the blood sample from a person with Morgellons)
I heard one of the things they were going to do was review the info out there..well.. there is clear evidence the statement that "this isn't a serious condition" is completely unfounded..ie a lie.
How can we take them seriously?
Also the first thing a person finds on the net is lot of propaganda from dermatologists ridiculing Morgellons sufferers..so unprofessional.
So if you were interested and only took 10 minutes to look up info re a friend or relative...you'd believe the Dellusional Parasitosis diagnoses.
This has politicized people of course..because..well besides the rediculous idea of druging or locking up 10's of thousands of people who have this..it hurts people terribly and they waste valuable time and energy trying to get validation.
So lets mend this "fracture" and work together..because this is spreading fast and often wrecks people's lives.
