Compassionate Networking for Morgellons Syndrome and Skin Parasite Sufferers
anyone feel like this other than me?
My tale has a beginning but is missing an end
Listen quite carefully to this message I send
This choice that I made I'll forever regret
That one fateful night I'll never forget
On holiday in Ireland
I chose the wrong bed
Where a cold lifeless body had recently lain stone cold dead
When the Springtails and Collembola joined in
From which countless wee mites then fled
Laying in wait for me to tuck myself in
Ravenous and impatient to start feasting again
Burrowing in to my tasty warm skin instead
The world as I'd known would soon come to an end
Goodbye to the happy-go-lucky life I had led
Replaced by a nightmare one filled with
Suffering, isolation and dread
Soon the itching and burning had spread
Oozing and moving and all crusted in
From the tips of my toes to the top of my head
With bumps & blisters & rashes so red
Went to the doctor, he with a wink & a grin
Not to worry my friend
With this little tube you'll be on the mend
Came back for more & that's when said
This is all in your head
Doctor after Doctor suggested psych wards instead
But my critters are chewing, breading & spinning their webs
My lesions and craters soon began to shed
"Sand" & fibers & fuzzies & twisted threads
I wake in the morning to find that I've bled
Lotions & potions & powders I blend
Rub them all on then do it again (& again & again & again & again)
Hoping & pleading & praying for an end
To the violent unyielding attack that's been waged from within
I shudder to to think of all the money I've spent
More than 10 years in and they wont relent
No work or parties or dinner with friends
Home soaking lesions and boo boos instead
CDC & MDs and skeptics pretend
That Morgellons Disease it just doesn't exist
But their view would be quite different had they laid where I'd been
Perhaps from a Sister of the Magdalene
Poor tortured souls, suffered crimes against humanity
Somewhere lies the answer to these mutated mites
And all this insanity
THE END (but not really the end)

Hi Gordon:
“She?” portrayed the experience of M well; it’s all of our stories, really.
The travesty of it all brought a tear to my eye.
Yet, knowing that others understand brings some comfort.
Whether, we got this abomination from falling pixie dust, a mad scientist’s life’s work, a werewolf’s bite, or the wicked witch’s poisoned apples, our lives are now a testament that fantasy reveals more fact than was traditionally believed.
Thank you for sharing this post.
