We're starting to see some link dropping again and confused members so this needs to be reposted... - D
Hello all;
Just a quick note because of all the complaints and problems we have had from people trying to advertise and infotise on the Morgellons Support Network site, I have come up with a new policy and want to get everyone's feedback on it.
First: The banner ads on the right side column of the site are only there to support the operational expense of the site. They do not reflect (nor do I endorse) any of the links products or offers shown in those ads. They are displayed by an ad network and are not under my control. Please click them if you like them or ignore them if you don;t.
Now about all the spam and advertising and link dropping inside posts and forums and blogs....
This is the real problem. Ads that have nothing to do with our affliction are bad enough and I will kill them as soon as I see them or as soon as any member lets me know. But there is another issue recently raised by a member and I want to present that issue and a possible solution to it.
There are many members here who have been suffering and surviving the crawl for years and some of them have developed solutions or products in order to treat or relieve the misery. (We ALL KNOW THERE IS NO CURE!!!!)
But that does not mean that there are not some good products or recipies or other info out there that could help us all (God knows I've read every word on Rense's site a dozen times LOL).
So how can we be a real support site if we do not allow any kinds of links or information that might be considered advertising simply because it involves the sale of a service or product? Here's How!
I am making a whole section of the website called 'Resources'. Members will NOT be able to post to this section however, if they send me their information I will make a place for it -- yes including a link -- so members can browse this section to get ideas and links to get help.
This does not mean we will endorse these resources -- too many treatments don't work for many of us or have such limited effect they are not worth buying, but they do still help some folks.
So please think about this and post your feedback as comments to this blog. I want to know what you guys think. If we do it this way you will only have to look at advertising type information if you decide to go look -- meanwhile it will not pollute the site.
All together now.... PUSH!
