My friend and I have a long running debate about picks that come at the very bottom of our feet, often right where the greatest amount of pressure occurs in the soles of our shoes. One would think if it were a normal small insect, they would attack at the softest part of the tissue instead of where the greatest pressure is. It really makes you wonder what's going on when picks are a bit random but often seem to happen right where you would think is least likely. It's as though they can go right through shoe soles and into your foot.
My friend says it's because they are coming out of me and not in. I say that may be possible, but the suspicious thing is that it only seems to happen either in the car or when sitting by my computer. I can go for long periods of time without being picked when I'm elsewhere. If they are coming out, then why would it be so dependent on where I am? Also, I still believe my body fights them off when they get close to the blood stream, so I doubt that I am producing most of them. I never get many of the symptoms like those in and on the head (although rarely they do attack there).
My opinion is that the critters are trying to get in, but have no problem going through the soles of my shoes, or at least the sides with the goal of getting under the feet.I get at least three times as many picks on the bottom of my feet than I do anywhere else.
Does anyone else have symptoms that would indicate the ability to penetrate shoes?
