Enzymes

Certain enzymes are very useful topically in curbing the Morgellons symptoms. Protease, cellulase, papain and chitinase especially seem effective in breaking down cellulose and chitin. Cellulose is a product that results from fungal overgrowth and chitin is the material that arthropods produce in their exoskeletons.It is also the material some fungi use in their cell walls instead of cellulose. The enzymes stop the growth process of these materials. Enzyme products come in ready to use and concentrated forms. The concentrated enzymes are much more economical. Some brands that are effective:

Using Enzymes in The Bath

These products are available in a ready to use dilution or a concentrated form that must be diluted. Of course the concentrates are more economical as they dilute down to a 1:7 ratio. Enzymes may be added to bath treatments at about 4 oz – 8 oz depending on whether it is a small amount of water or a very full tub. I have found that adding a cup of Baking soda and a cup of vinegar along with 10 – 20 drops of Thieves’ Oil or your favorite essential oil makes for a very effective skin treatment. After bathing it is better to air dry one’s self then with a spray bottle apply a light misting of diluted enzymes to the skin and allow this to also air dry.

Enzyme Topically

This treatment is one that provides immediate relief of Morgellons symptoms such as itching, crawling and “biting” sensations. It is one of the best weapons in one’s arsenal against Morgellons. I have used this treatment on those nights ( a memory for me now) when I felt as if I had laid down in a bed of fire ants. Enzymes are so effective on insects that they can be sprayed on roaches, flies and ants with immediate results. I have also used enzymes applied to small outbreaks and lesions to stop them from spreading and to aid in healing.

To use enzymes in a spray bottle I recommend a larger spray bottle for general use and a small personal size one to keep by the bedside for night-time or for when traveling. Nothing stops the stinging sensation quite so quickly as enzymes. This treatment should become very valuable when one first starts treating Morgellons symptoms.

Spray Bottle Method

Simply fill a clean  32 oz spray bottle with 4 oz of Enzymes and fill with clean filtered water. The ratio is 1 part enzyme to 7 parts water. This is the reason that an “expensive” gallon of concentrated enzyme is much more cost-effective than the ready to use dilutions being sold. The one gallon concentrate will dilute down to over eight gallons.

Warning: Using enzymes to treat “mysterious biting mites” and other pathogens including fungi is an excellent treatment. However, enzymes are produced by a non-pathogenic bacteria and are safe when applied to clean unbroken skin. Do not use in eyes or open, weeping lesions. However it is excellent in bad Morgie’s ears and around the nostril.

These dilutions of enzymes in spray bottles are excellent to use on bedding, furniture, in cars, on floorboards and walls and just about anyplace that seems to harbor these pathogens.

Enzyme Recipes

There are easy to do recipes for the home fermentation of enzymes. These are highly recommended as the price to produce is 120 times less per gallon than the ready to use enzymes. The only draw back is the time involved in fermenting which is 2 to 3 months. Baker’s Yeast or Brewers yeast can be added to speed up the fermentation time. I recommend a 1/4 teaspoon per gallon. This may cause the need to release the built up gases from the mixture on an as needed basis (1-3 times per day for the first week or two) while active fermentation is taking place. Do not use until the fermentation process in the enzyme liquid has been completed. No more off-gassing and no more froth/bubbles on the surface. The liquid will not be sweet and should become somewhat clear. You must wait until the sugars are metabolized completely and sediment in the solution will clear.

Home-made Enzyme Recipe

I use the half cube 2 & 1/2 gallon water containers with wide lids on top and a smaller lid on the side for the spigot. I also suggest using botanical material in this mix. Oranges, limes, lemons and apples. Adding peelings from papaya fruit would be an excellent choice for the papain. Organic pineapple is another good choice with the bromalain. Chopped fresh herbs such as oregano or basil and other medicinal herbs with antimicrobial and antiseptic qualities would also be beneficial including herbal teas and blends. Eucalyptus leaves or Echinacea flowers are more great choices. Even bits of  cinnamon sticks would be medicinal.

Materials & Ingredients

• Large 2 & 1/2 Gallon  water container
• Large novelty punch balloon
• 2 – 4 lbs fruit ( see above recommendations)
• 1/4 lb of Herbs or other botanicals (see above recommendations)
• 16 oz of Raw Honey (preferably Manuka honey) or 32 oz raw sugar
• 1 packet brewers or bakers yeast
• 2 gallons of filtered water

Directions

1. Wash and air dry the 2 1/2 gallon container. Unscrew the small spigot and save for later use. Attach large punch ball balloon over the small spigot hole. Unscrew the larger 4  inch lid on the side.
2. Wash and clean all fruits and finely chop along with other botanicals.
3. Put a 2 inch layer of fruit and herbs in container. Cover this layer with honey or sugar (maybe a half-inch of sugar and less of honey). Repeat this process until out of fruit or until container is half full.
4. Add two gallons of filtered water. Leave at least 6 inches of air in the container. Add 1/2 teaspoon of yeast to speed up fermentation time.
5. Put large lid back on and shake to wet down all ingredients. Water should cover all ingredients. The balloon is now the top of the container. Set aside and check daily for the first two weeks. The fermentation will result in gasses that may need to be bled off. Tilt container away from large lid and carefully unscrew to vent.
6. Once the sediment has cleared and there are no bubbles the enzymes are ready. This may be as short as one month but may be as long as two months. Use cheesecloth to strain and rebottle. No refrigeration needed. Dilute 1:7 with water before using. Or add 4 oz  to bath undiluted.

NOTE: Use a 3-1 ratio. This means 3 parts fruit to 1 part sugar or Manuka honey if available.

Consumption

Drink the enzyme an hour prior to eating to stimulate your nerves and promote blood circulation by placing a tablespoon of the enzyme under your tongue and swallowing.

I strongly suggest starting a batch of enzymes when you first order a commercially prepared enzymes. Your batch will be complete about the time you run out of the enzymes you’ve bought. For as little as $8 dollars and 20 minutes (plus fermentation time) I have produced 3 gallons of concentrated (25 diluted gallons) of enzymes. It is very simple to do.

Homemade Body Spray

I have used this recipe in a pinch, when out of enzymes or waiting for an online purchase to be delivered. It is effective enough and easy to make. It involves many of the ingredients that you should have in stock in your cupboard.

• 1 cup hydrogen peroxide (3% household variety)
• 1/ 8 cup salt (table salt or espom salt)
• 1 cup Borax
• 2c hot water (optional substitute one cup of water with vinegar)
• A few drops of Essential Oil (optional but helpful… especially Lavander or Peppermint)

Add all ingredients to an empty one quart spray bottle. Shake and let Borax and salt dissolve. Shake often. Works for fleas, animal mange, mites, Lyme Disease. I have substituted vinegar for one of the cups of hot water before also.
Spray on skin and amd allow to air dry up to three times a day.

For the cleaning the house I sometimes add essential oil of teatree, eucalyptus, etc.

And they don't have to cost a fortune..but you may be spending a few hours brewing things up....lol.

I got stuff to make a low frequency mat..to sleep on but Gordon D's friend Jason made me one..still afraid of soldering..Tony says...just do it..ya..girl here..but I do have to try.

Yes, you can't just focus on one area and ignore other essential steps, it all has to be dealt with. For example I refuse to eat GMO now, I still have the sugar cravings that I'm working on. The skin has to be constantly addressed and the immune system is the most important to fight back.

You have all the information to heal and have presented well.

This is old news but I thought I would post it here in case anyone had missed it... Skizit posted this video two years ago in Oct 2010, Jan Smith had been down this same path in 2006. I had found these abstracts/papers and a few others and was interested in them because they have trials that show different methods used to eradicate D.D.

I still think that different people have different manifestations or stages of this illness and that is why there are so many different symptoms.

That is also why a single minded approach to this often only works for a short time. Every aspect of this must be dealt with, often at the same time, often requiring dietary and lifestyle changes that are permanent.
