I'm 42 and my parents had me illegaly committed to the psych ward(I was by no means an "eminent danger" to myself or others due) to my lesions and claim that I had parasites. This occured on the day I was to fly to Ft. Meyers after 3 months of research and ultimately locating a doctor who knew exactly what symptoms I was describing and asked me if I'd heard of Morgellons.

After 30 viles of blood extracted which were sent to three different labs around the country, I was diagnosed with Lymes, Bartonella-another stealth disease caused by a bacteria, and babesia- a parasite very similar to the malarial parasite. The last two are common co-infections with Lymes and are found in ticks as is Lymes.

Since the immune system is shot, it's not hard to imagine a condition such as Morgellons joining in. Ticks could also be a carrier. I had no idea ticks were carriers of all kinds of diseases!

I am convinced that Bartonella and Morgellons are closely related. My doctor has written 3 books on Bartonella with tons of photos, the lesions look exactly the same, and do not heal. These bacterias form colonies which produce a yellowish sticky substance around them protecting them from white blood cells attacking them, "hiding out". The key is to break down the biofilms so that the WBCs can detect the sneaky bacterial colonies and attack them.

This is the challenge, to determine which antibiotics and other substances can destroy these biofilms.

I have biofilms under my skin and in the lesions, I've succeeded in getting them out with organic xylitol and milk, and also organic honey. There are layers and layers of these biofilms and the lesions do not heal until you dissolve them. They will stick to your skin, I use an enzyme cleaner to wash this bizzare residue off my skin and hands. As this sticky "gunk" comes out sharp crystals are mixed with it and black specks emerge a couple times a month.

Hello, My daughter went to the doctor by Memorial hospital in south Tampa however she did not have much to offer. She actually felt my daughter was doing all the right things at this point and Dr. Cichon is treating her. However my daughter was not always doing the right things such as eating processed food etc and not consistently taking the good supplements so know she has learned. I think my daughter is afraid to be around other people too much as she may pick up something else because of her immune being so affected with so many different infections. I am sure that a lot of the suffers have co-infections as well. Another web site that was helpful for me is the microbiologist Mr. Nicholson at www.immed.org not only for both of our health issues but he gives some helpful suggestions on morgellons as well. But I believe one of keys is to build back up the immune to be able to fight this due to the cyctocine storm going on in the body. He gives some suggestions on building up the michrochrondia. Also Taurine helps increase WBC's which will help the body fight off infections. Also L-Glutathione helps with inflammation and stomach issues and of course a probiotic. I just read someone send in about fungus and yeast which could be connected I am currently on candigone a mix of different herbs and goldenseal which is helping me. I am going to have my daughter take a para-clean for parasites it is organic with fresh green black walnut hull, chinese rhubarb etc. and hopefully this will kill some off. I know of some friends who were healed of gallstone attacks and increased liver enyzmes with chinese herbs so with the different herbs I am hoping for some good results. I ordered stuff from Trisha and went and got the spray from the place in Brooksville. We are trying to get it under control as fast as we can. If you know of any other suggestions please advise.

I tend to agree. I still get lesions sometimes even o medicine. At one time I took as many as three ivs a day. I also have babesoisis and Fibromyalgia CFS, Lyme as well as Morgellons (I was diagnosed with such).

My first doctor was Dr. Harvey and without his help I think I would be crippled by now.

I am alot better from how I was but although it is well controlled I have this disease bad due to a lot of vectors being involved in the beginning.

I was wondering If you have read about spilanthes achmella I am thinking about growing this plant for its theraputic properties.

over the years I have complained of various ailments to my doctor. I did not know that it was this instead of miner complaints. Restless legs, eye allergies,miagraines,sleep dissordera,fatigue, joint pain, confusion and forgetfulness, depressions, and habit of scratching my head. NO ONE has ever took mmem seriously. I wound up divorced and my baby was talen from me. It has been 6 years since I have snot been allowed to see her , much lesshold her 0r snything

I can remember as far back as 2000,,,,,,,,,,,, no doctors. I tried to get help in 2000; The doctors claimed I was delusional and hallucinating with bi-polar. I went thru divorce and lost my infant daughter because of it.
