Compassionate Networking for Morgellons Syndrome and Skin Parasite Sufferers
Dear Morgellons people,
What..another day..I woke up..yes what will this one hold or what will I make of it?
I read this quote from a teacher from the BC Federation of teachers who quoted it from the fellow who wrote the "Chicken Soup" books.Alan Cohen..
"It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power."
Morgellons certainly does change priorities, doesn't it?
A secure place to live..does not seem as important as my health..what if the very thing I was holding onto was part of the problem..like a damp moldy area..or poor construction of the buiding?
What if a beautiful place lacks the kind of love and support family and friends can give? Location location.
The adventuous and the exciting...never associated that with security..but we need that to nurture the will to live..new discoveries whether they be spiritual. physical or social.
If all you do is clean, and hunker down trying to survive..that's not really living...a war of sorts.
I'm speaking for myself of course..others may have had a more balanced approach.
I won't let go of oudoor exercise completely of course...for in movement there is life.
If there is even a spark of life..there is hope..a little candle. It can grow.
When this condition goes on for years..it's important to remember that.
In change there is power.
My experience is..I get that when I'm in it but the "before" part...wrenching.
In an Outward Bound course I took once in the Interior mountains of BC..Cathedral range..
our instructor told us to hurl our bodies into a crevass, turn and put our shoulders on the opposite side and our feet on the side we were standing on...it was deep. Everyone..didn't think it was possible and went through whatever it took until we all did it. If you were near the beginning or first..which I was..it was quite a revalation that I was safe...sure didn't look possible.
I really appreciate friends who are not in despair when I am, and can remind me..
WE WILL WIN
So indeed we are in heaven if we help each other.
What a birthday, eh?
All I have to do is let go of any resistance to change..embrace it..and go on in my imperfection
knowing somehow I am worth it and so are all of us.
CARING means so much, doesn't it?
Most Sincerely
Sherry
